# What do I need before I send an offer?
What must be ready before you can propose dates, a fee, and terms to a potential booking partner.

Before starting a request or offer, publish your profile and complete the business identity requested by the booking flow. The required proposal fields differ by role and stage.

## Check your profile first

Your profile must be published before the Send offer action becomes available. Publishing makes a venue visible to entertainers, or an entertainer visible to venues. It does not make your account email public.

If your profile is still a draft, open [Profile](/profile), complete the built-in checklist, and publish it.

## Complete legal identity

Open [Business details](/business) and complete the legal, billing and payment fields requested for your account. The booking form identifies missing information before you submit or agree.

Legal and payment identity are not shown on discovery profiles. They are collected for the booking and agreement workflow.

## Send a clear first offer

Open a profile on the other side of the marketplace and choose **Send offer**. Include:

1. A short introductory message and the planned performance time
2. Performance details and contributions you can provide
3. If you are the entertainer, fee, payment and cancellation terms; deposit terms only when relevant

Both parties can revise performance details, dates and their own contributions. Only the entertainer can change commercial terms. The initial message is required; later proposal messages are optional.

## What happens next

The request or offer appears in [Bookings](/marketplace/bookings) as Open. The venue can agree to the entertainer’s latest offer, revise editable terms, or reject it. A venue request needs an entertainer offer before agreement. Private contact details remain hidden; use booking messages to discuss details. Use the current booking actions to withdraw or reject when available.
