# Build an entertainer profile that venues can evaluate
Choose your act category, describe your work, add media, and publish when ready.

Open the [profile editor](/onboarding/setup). Add the act name and description, then choose the types that represent what you perform. You can select multiple categories; when Music is selected, genre and instrument choices are available separately. A custom **Other** entry must contain meaningful text.

Add a hero image, gallery photos, a featured video and links if they help venues understand the act. Review imported website details before applying them; an import can be skipped without blocking setup. Keep the description and media accurate to the performance a venue would book.

The editor's checklist shows what is required for publication. Typical fees and duration are not required during initial onboarding; the actual fee is agreed in a booking proposal. After you publish, venue operators can discover the profile. You can edit it afterward or unpublish it to leave marketplace discovery.
