# Create an event at your venue
Add a programme event, choose its visibility, and decide how guests can attend.

Open [Events](/marketplace/events) and create a new event. You can plan a venue night before you book an entertainer. Add its name, schedule and event details, then choose visibility and attendance in the event editor.

An event and a booking serve different purposes: the event describes the programme shown to guests; the booking holds the private conversation, proposals and agreement with an entertainer. A confirmed booking may create a draft event for the venue to review. You can add entertainment to an event through the event's **Find talent** flow.

Review the event before publishing it. Visibility can be draft, private, unlisted or public. Paid tickets require the selected seller's payment connection to be ready; free RSVPs and external ticket links follow different setup paths.
