# Change or cancel a booking
Revise open terms, understand confirmed locks, and review cancellation consequences.

Open the item in [Bookings](/marketplace/bookings). While terms are still open, use **Proposal** to change performance details or dates. Each party can edit only its own contributions; only the entertainer edits fee, payment, deposit and cancellation. Sending creates a new proposal version, so the other party can review exactly what changed. A venue revision needs a final entertainer offer before the venue can agree.

Once the venue agrees, the booking is confirmed and the accepted proposal is locked. Confirmed calendar entries prevent overlapping confirmed bookings. The booking page places cancellation in a separate danger section; read the displayed impact and the agreed cancellation terms before confirming. Cancelling an event can also affect attached active bookings, so review the event's impact screen first.

If a change cannot be made through the current booking controls, discuss it with the other party in **Messages** and [contact gigiii](/contact) when help is needed. A message alone does not revise the signed terms.
